The Last of Us Part II Remastered gets chronological mode and bonus skins - free for PS5 and PC
Naughty Dog has finally let go of the brakes and is giving fans what they've been dreaming of (or afraid of): The Last of Us Part II Remastered can now be played chronologically. No flashbacks, no time jumps - just a linear story of revenge, loss, and difficult decisions, from the beginning to the final guitar chord. The update is already available on PS5 and PC for free.
Naughty Dog says that retelling Part II in chronological order was a non-trivial task, as the plot was put together like a puzzle for maximum emotional impact. But now you can see how the events are perfectly tied into a single thread: the path of Ellie and Abby becomes even more eerie in its parallelism.
Surprises for veterans and beginners
To motivate players for the second round, the studio has added new trophies for completing the game in chronological mode. And crossover skins with Uncharted - Joel in the style of Nathan Drake and Tommy in the image of Sam Drake for the No Return mode. This is a kind of gift for the 40th anniversary of Naughty Dog and a tribute to all fans of their games.
