Czech Excalibur Army opens office in Ukraine and prepares to launch ammunition production
One of the largest Czech defence manufacturers, Excalibur Army, has opened a representative office in Ukraine to deepen cooperation and launch local production of large-calibre ammunition.
Here's What We Know
According to the official press release, the opening of the office will allow the company to work directly with Ukrainian partners, optimise logistics and speed up decision-making. The representative office is already working on a joint project with Ukrainian Armour to produce 155mm artillery shells.
"We have been supporting Ukraine since the first day of the full-scale invasion and will stay as long as it takes - this step is a testament to our long-term commitment. The new office is not just a symbol. It is a practical step that will speed up decision-making, improve logistics and ensure closer interaction with partners on the ground," said Jan Krátky, Marketing Director at Excalibur Army.

The localisation project was prepared earlier - the parties signed a memorandum in 2024. Production is scheduled to start in 2025. At the first stage, more than 50% of the components will be manufactured in Ukraine, with a further increase to 80%.
The company has also announced the production of up to 100,000 155 mm shells and another 50,000 105 mm shells, subject to a government order. In addition, Excalibur Army's Ukrainian representative office will be responsible for project support, technical advice and rapid response to inquiries.
