Ubisoft's incomprehensible activity around Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag continues.

On the background of increasing rumours about the soon announcement of the remake of the famous pirate action game, a mysterious Black Flag update was found in Steam database.

Here's What We Know

On the Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag page in Steam, a reference to the addition of new features that were not present in the original game (2013) was found.

An insider under the nickname The Hidden One noticed that the developers have added manual saving at any time, difficulty level selection, mouse-only controls, customisable volume levels and support for stereo and surround sound.

None of the above are currently available in Black Flag, as such options started appearing in Assassin's Creed games after 2014.

It's assumed that this Ubisoft activity indicates that a major Black Flag update is in preparation or, which fans of the series would prefer, a remake. However, in such a case it would have a separate page in Steam!

Recall, recently British actor Matt Ryan, who played the role of charismatic pirate Edward Kenway in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, subtly hinted that rumours of a remake are not unfounded.
