Online racing is about to end: EA will shut down Need for Speed: Rivals servers
Electronic Arts continues to shut down the servers of its older games and next in line is the controversial Need for Speed racing series.
Here's What We Know
American publisher added Need for Speed: Rivals to the list of games that will lose online capabilities in October.
Thus, from 7 October in the game in 2013 will disappear support for multiplayer matches and in-game leaderboards, but will remain the story campaign and other single-player content.
This decision applies to all platforms on which Need for Speed: Rivals is available.
In addition to Rivals, EA will shut down the servers of sports simulators NHL 21, FIFA 23 and Madden 22.
In the community of gamers there is no consensus on Need for Speed: Rivals: in Steam the game has 76% positive reviews, but in fact this game is not much in demand.
