The global presentation of Huawei Pura 80 flagship smartphone took place in Dubai.

Here's What We Know

The Pura 80 lineup debuted in June in China and will soon be available to customers around the world.

The manufacturer announced three models that are part of the series: the Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Ultra. Note that the Pura 80 Pro+ is also available on the Chinese market, but it is not yet known whether it will be released outside this state.

The star of the presentation was the Pura 80 Ultra model, which is aimed at bloggers and lovers of high-quality shooting. It got a unique periscope camera with two lenses: one with 3.7x optical zoom and the other with 9.4x.

Overall, the sensor set looks impressive: 50MP, 1", f/1.6-4 (main), 40MP, f/2.2 (wide-angle), 50+12.5MP, 3.7x + 9.4x zoom (dual periscope), 1.5MP (spectrum sensor), 13MP, f/2.0 (front). Huawei uses its own XMAGE system with advanced shooting and colour algorithms, including an AI-powered portrait mode.

As a processor in the top model uses a powerful Kirin 9020 chipset.

The smartphone features a 6.8″ OLED screen with a peak brightness of 3000 nits and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display is protected by second-generation Kunlun glass, which has become 16 times more scratch-resistant and 25 times more resistant to drops.

The Pura 80 Ultra is the first smartphone to run HarmonyOS 5.1 out of the box and supports satellite connectivity, NFC and powerful speakers.

The 5700 mAh battery supports 100W wired charging and 80W wireless charging.

The manufacturer emphasises on the stylish design of the smartphones and has even defined it as "tech chic". Huawei Pura 80 smartphones are available in Black, White, Pink and Blue colours with a matte body finish.

At the Dubai launch, it is stated that the Huawei Pura 80 series devices will be priced at $1400 in Saudi Arabia (in terms of dirham).
