It's official: Samsung's first tri-fold will go on sale by the end of 2025
The media has long been reporting that Samsung is preparing its first triple smartphone, which will be an analogue of the premium Huawei Mate XT. Recently, it was even reported online that it might be called Galaxy G Fold.
The Korean giant has not yet shared information about the gadget, but today sounded confirmation that it will be released very soon.
Here's What We Know
The head of Samsung's consumer electronics division, Roh Tae-moon, revealed in an interview with The Korea Times that the triple-fold smartphone will indeed be released before the end of 2025. However, he emphasised that the model name has yet to be confirmed and the final decision will be made closer to the smartphone's launch.
Earlier it was reported, the ambitious tri-fold from Samsung will go on sale in an amount of only 200 thousand units. This is probably due not only to the decreasing consumer interest in such gadgets, but also to its high cost. For comparison, the only tri-fold smartphone Huawei Mate XT is available for purchase for €3499.
