Renault Boreal: a global model that won't be available in Western Europe
Renault has officially unveiled the new Boreal crossover designed for markets outside Western Europe. The plant in Curitiba (Brazil) will produce the model for 17 countries in Latin America. At the same time, the plant in Bursa (Turkey) will provide production for 54 other markets, including Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Mediterranean countries.
Here's What We Know
The Boreal belongs to the C-SUV segment with a length of 4.56 metres, width of 1.84 metres, height of 1.65 metres and a wheelbase of 2.70 metres. The new car is characterised by short overhangs at the front and rear, as well as a smoothly descending roof line. A distinctive feature of the front end are LED headlights extending to the wings, with additional modules in the front "grill".
The dashboard in the cabin is reminiscent of the Renault 5 E-Tech electric and Renault 4 E-Tech electric, with a dual horizontal OpenR display. The first screen in front of the driver is a large 10-inch digital instrument cluster, displaying a full range of vehicle driving information. The centre multimedia screen is also 10 inches diagonal.
The interior lighting is fully customisable, with 48 colours of LED lighting available to set the mood. The transition between lighting modes is automatically adjusted according to the selected mode in the Multi-Sense system settings.

Depending on the version and country of sale, the seats are upholstered in Blue for the Latin America region or in Pure Cool Grey for Turkey, with contrasting top stitching.
Renault Boreal is available with electrically adjustable front seats with position memory and massage for the driver. A lockable refrigerated centre console with cooling, 2 USB-C ports at the front and an induction charger are provided. Dual-zone climate control can also be included.

At the rear, the seat back folds to a 40/60 ratio and has a centre armrest with Easy Break (handle in the boot) for quick folding. Rear row passengers have access to air deflectors and two USB-C ports. The boot capacity is 586 litres (1,770 litres with the seats folded).
The Renault Boreal is designed to meet the regulatory, economic and environmental specificities of its markets. In Latin America, the model is powered by a turbocharged 1.3 TCe engine with a 7-speed EDC robotised gearbox. This unit will be available in petrol or Flex Fuel versions. Vehicles produced in Turkey will use the 138bhp petrol version of the 1.3 TCe.
Outside Latin America, the Renault Boreal may later receive other engine and transmission options. In particular, a 6-speed EDC transmission.
Deliveries of the Renault Boreal will start at the end of 2025 in Brazil, and from 2026 in other Latin American markets, Turkey and several other countries. Pricing has not yet been announced.
