Is GTA IV remaster real? Rockstar website indirectly confirmed the re-release of the famous crime action game
Rumours around a possible remaster/release of GTA IV are not subsiding. Recall that in May, a reputable insider and dataminer Tez2 confirmed that Rockstar Games has not given up on releasing the famous 2008 crime action on modern platforms and can implement this idea by the end of 2025.
The official announcement from the developer has not yet followed, but gamers have found another convincing evidence of the existence of a new version of GTA IV.
Here's What We Know
Attentive users found that on the support site Rockstar Games in the "Complaints" section appeared the opportunity to specify the PS4 as a platform on which the problems in GTA IV.
At the time of writing the mention of PS4 for GTA IV has been removed, but the screenshot remained:
The fact is that GTA IV is only available on the consoles of the generation before last - PS3 and Xbox 360, and if on the American platform the game can be run on backwards compatibility, then on PS4 it is impossible to do so.
The collective mind of gamers sees the new feature on Rockstar's website as preparation for the release of an updated version of GTA IV, which is expected to be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and quite possibly on Nintendo Switch as well.
The aforementioned Tez2 believes that Insider: GTA IV won't get a full-fledged remaster - Rockstar will limit itself to a port for modern consoles, according to him it will only be a port for modern systems with support for increased resolution and 60 FPS.
