A reputable Digital Chat Station insider has shared information about Huawei's new foldable Mate X7 smartphone.
Here's What We Know
The company is expected to unveil two new models in China in September: the tri-folding Huawei Mate XT 2 and the Mate X7, and exclusive details have emerged about the second model.
The smartphone, according to Digital Chat Station, will feature a large 7.95″ internal display with 2K resolution. It will be a COE LTPO panel with ultra-thin glass (UTG).
Huawei is reportedly using the new Kirin 9030 chipset as the processor, which will provide a significant performance boost and is expected to appear in the Mate 80 series as well.
About the cameras, Digital Chat Station reports that Huawei is testing two different sensors for the Mate X7's main camera: one with a 50MP 1/1.56″ sensor and another with a slightly larger 1/1.3″ sensor. Both support physical variable aperture.
The insider doesn't rule out that the smartphone could also be equipped with a 50MP periscopic module with a telephoto macro lens and a multispectral sensor to improve the overall image quality.
The Mate X7 is sure to get HarmonyOS 5.1.
