Xiaomi has unveiled a special Leica centenary version of its photographic flagship
In honour of the 100th anniversary of the first mass-produced Leica camera, Xiaomi has unveiled a limited edition version of its flagship - the Xiaomi 15 Ultra 100 Years of Leica. Thus, the Chinese brand pays tribute to the German company, which had a huge impact on the development of photography.
Here's What We Know
The anniversary model of the smartphone from Xiaomi received a silver back panel with gold accents. The perimeter of the frame has artificial scuffs, creating a vintage effect. The case is engraved with "100 Years of Leica 1925-2025" and features the official Leica 100 logo.
The smartphone comes in an exclusive gift box that includes a "Xiaomi x Leica Humanistic Photography Series" photo book and a 90W USB-C charger.
Technically, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra 100 Years of Leica is completely the same as the original model:
- main camera: 1″ sensor, 50MP, f/1.6, OIS;
- periscopic telephoto lens: 200MP, 4.3x optical zoom, 1/1.4″ sensor;
- additional cameras: 50MP telephoto lens and 50MP ultra-wide-angle module;
- processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite;
- display: 6.73" LTPO AMOLED QHD;
- IP68 protection.
Xiaomi has said that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra 100 Years of Leica will be available in the global market, but has not yet specified when and at what price.
