Oppo is preparing to release a new smartphone K13 Turbo, which could be a real technological breakthrough.

The Chinese manufacturer said that the Oppo K13 Turbo will be the first waterproof air-cooled mobile gadget.

Here's What We Know

The presentation of the smartphone will take place on 21 July, but it is already known that the model will surprise with its performance, endurance and innovative approach to cooling.

The main feature of K13 Turbo will be an active cooling system with a miniature turbine - such a solution is used for the first time in mobile smartphones. The gadget is protected by three standards: IPX6, IPX8 and IPX9, which confirms its resistance to strong water pressure and short-term immersion.

The Oppo K13 Turbo will get a 6.8″ display with a resolution of 2800×1280 pixels and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The RAM will go up to 16GB and storage up to 512GB.

Buyers will be offered two versions of the smartphone:

  • Oppo K13 Turbo with MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor
  • Oppo K13 Turbo Pro with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset clocked up to 3.21 GHz.

The device features a 50MP main camera and a 16MP front camera.

The 7000 mAh battery, which supports 80W fast charging, ensures long battery life.

The smartphone is expected to come with a Super Cooling bundle, which will include a liquid cooling case and a 27W IceWing external fan. This offer is aimed at gamers and those who work with the smartphone under heavy load.

By the way, to demonstrate reliability, Oppo conducted extreme tests in the Fire Mountain Desert, which is the hottest point in China, where a hundred K13 Turbo devices passed the overheating test, showing stable operation at high temperatures.
