Insider: Sledgehammer will launch a new Call of Duty sub-series in 2027 with no zombie mode and no connection to Advanced Warfare
Insider TheGhostOfHope continues to leak interesting information about the future of the Call of Duty franchise. Thanks to him we already know the release date of Black Ops 7 and about Activision's plans for another Call of Duty NEXT.
Now he has shared information about the game, which will be released in 2027.
Here's What We Know
It's been rumoured for a few years that Sledgehammer Games Studios would release a sequel to Advanced Warfare, a 2014 shooter set in a setting of the not-too-distant future, but it turns out that's not the case. An authoritative insider claims that in fact the authors are preparing to launch a new Call of Duty sub-series, the events of which will unfold in the present day and the game will not have any sci-fi elements.
The main emphasis will be made on advanced movement system and increased mobility of characters, at the same time the developers will take a bold step and abandon the traditional zombie mode, replacing it with Get High mode, which should become an analogue of Fall Guys (don't ask: "why?").
EXCLUSIVE: COD2027 by Sledgehammer Games will NOT be Advanced Warfare 2 and will instead be set in a completely new subfranchise.
