Google has updated the Gemini Live feature to provide much clearer video when using the camera. Previously, Android users complained about a blurry picture, which caused artificial intelligence to not always recognise objects correctly.
Here's What We Know
Gemini is now better at seeing details and responding more accurately to what users are showing.
This can be useful when you need to identify a plant, check equipment, or show what's happening around you. With a sharper image, Gemini is better able to recognise details and provide more accurate responses.
What else has changed
- Instead of the left swipe gesture, you now need to press a separate button at the bottom of the screen to launch Gemini Live. This is to avoid accidental launches.
- In the test version, the design has been updated - the wave animation during a call has become brighter and bluer to better fit in with the new Gemini design.
In addition, Google is launching monthly Gemini Drops - mini-updates with new features and tips on how to use the assistant more efficiently.
