Galaxy Z TriFold will receive Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, like Galaxy Z Fold7 - insiders
Samsung is preparing to launch its first smartphone that folds three times. According to insiders, the device may be called Galaxy Z TriFold. The name has already been registered by the company in South Korea, and now the technical details have become known.
Here's What We Know
According to the lines of code in One UI 8 based on Android 16, the new product will be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which is used in the Galaxy Z Fold7.
The internal screen of the Galaxy Z TriFold will be about 10 inches when unfolded, which is almost like a small tablet. In addition, the smartphone will receive an additional external display that will make it easier to use when folded. The design of the device will be different from Huawei Mate XT, the first tri-fold smartphone on the market, as Samsung has chosen its own unique folding method, which makes TriFold special.
According to analysts, the upcoming device will look like a book that can be folded twice, depending on how often the user wants to use the external screen.
The price of Galaxy Z TriFold in South Korea could reach 4 million won (about $2873 or €2469). The device is expected to be available only in Korea and China at launch.
