Galaxy Fold 7 screen repair is estimated at almost €900
Prices for replacing the screens for Samsung's new foldable smartphones, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, have been released. The cost of the original components is provided by one of the EU spare parts suppliers.
Prices for Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 screens
- The main folding display of Galaxy Z Fold 7 costs 761 euros (~$890),
- Fold 7 external display - 525 euros (~$611),
- Galaxy Z Flip 7 folding display - 342 euros (~$400),
- Flex Window Flip 7 - 207 euros (~240 dollars).
This is the price of spare parts only, excluding service centre fees. The screens are not included in Samsung's standard warranty, which does not cover accidental damage.
For such cases, the company offers an additional Samsung Care+ programme.
- For Galaxy Z Fold 7 - $13 per month or $259 per year,
- For Galaxy Z Flip 7 - $10 per month or $169 per year.
As part of this programme, unlimited repairs of a cracked screen or back panel are available for $29 per case.
Note that Galaxy Z Fold7 has become noticeably thinner and lighter: when folded, it is 8.9 mm thick, when unfolded, it is only 4.2 mm, and weighs approximately 215 grams.
