Casio is preparing to release a new model in its large-format GD-010 series - the G-Shock GD-010GB-1A9. The watch combines the contrast of a black case and gold details, which is recognisable to fans of the brand.

Here's What We Know

This style was first introduced by Casio back in the 1980s and has been repeatedly brought back in limited editions since then.

The new model features a tinted gold LCD display with positive indication, which provides high contrast and easy reading even in direct sunlight. The polished metal bezel ring and golden G-Shock logo on the case emphasise the premium look of the model. The screen displays the day of the week, date and time in a large format, as well as alarm, signal and silent mode indicators.

Like the other members of the GD-010 series, the new G-Shock retains the signature front-facing backlight button and reinforced case construction. Inside is an energy-efficient movement with a battery life of up to 10 years.

The GD-010GB-1A9 will be available in Japan in August 2025 for a suggested price of ¥15,950 (approximately $107). It is not yet known whether the model will appear on the global market.

For those who want to get acquainted with the series, Casio offers an affordable GD-010-1A1 model, which can be found on Amazon for a price of $86.
