Chinese manufacturer Faraday Future (FF), known for its dramatic statements and "stalling" with the release of the first cars, has once again attracted attention: the day before in Los Angeles presented a new premium electric minibus FX Super One under the sub-brand Faraday X. But most importantly, it has a "face": a huge LED LED grille with AI-engine called F.A.C.E. (Front AI Communication Ecosystem). (Front AI Communication Ecosystem), which is able to display animations, emotions and messages, to engage in dialogue with passers-by - but only in the car park.

Here's What We Know

Officially, the FX Super One is an elegant alternative to spacious SUVs like the Cadillac Escalade, with a three-row cabin (4/6/7 seats), luxury seats, a fridge and a large IPS panel. Under the bonnet, two configurations are promised: purely electric and AI Hybrid Extended Range, but without clear characteristics - neither battery capacity, nor power, nor real range.

Interestingly, the FX Super One is actually a re-badged Wey Gaoshan from China's Great Wall Motors with 50 per cent localisation and additional AI augmentation.

On the back of $105 million in recently raised investment and hints of production in California, FF is clearly trying to regain credibility. But given the mass of loud promises and unrealised plans.... should we believe this "face" too? Many journalists have modified the already familiar term - "vaporware" (vapour from promises) - in relation to the new FX.

As a result, FX Super One is a spectacular concept on the verge of show and seriality. But for now, the "grimace" remains more interesting than the statistics.
