On 6 August 2025, DJI announces its first robotic vacuum cleaner. Having gained recognition with its drones and action cameras, DJI is opening up a new market for itself. In order not to embarrass customers, the company's engineers have been developing this device for over 4 years.

The teaser image shows robot vacuum cleaners with docking stations. The first one is made in a translucent case, in the Nothing style. You can see the dust and water containers, as well as the rotating mechanisms, which indicates fully automatic self-service. The second docking station has a more classic white rounded body.

The robots themselves have a classic puck-shaped design. The large space for sensors for good spatial orientation is noteworthy. The robot has two brushes that collect dust in a central dust collector.

Sources close to the company report an advanced mapping and intelligent navigation system based on artificial intelligence.

According to rumours, the Romo robot vacuum cleaner will cost between $500 and $800, which means it will compete with the top Roomba and Roborock robots. We will learn more details at the presentation very soon.
