A group of Asus overclocking engineers got their hands on the new AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX and managed to achieve some truly incredible performance, breaking 8 world records and 46 platform-specific achievements.

The overclocking team used a WRX90 motherboard, a 2000W power supply, and liquid nitrogen cooling. At a temperature of -47 degrees, the processor showed stable operation at 5746 - 5950 MHz on all 96 cores. This allowed it to show 227,818 points in Cinebench. The previous record was held by its predecessor 7995WX with a score of 210,000 points.

Overclocking chronicles

In PBO mode, the chip scored 173,452 points, which is 73% more than its predecessor Threadripper Pro 7995WX, which scored 100,291 points. This result was achieved under normal cooling conditions - without any extreme solutions.

The SkyWalkerAMD enthusiast performed a manual overclock and managed to reach 5.0 GHz on all cores, boosting the score to 186,800 points. To achieve this, the system consumed a staggering 947W and maintained temperatures of up to 98°C. This is a record for the architecture on a configuration without liquid nitrogen.

Bottom line.

The AMD platform is currently the leader in performance and the Threadripper enthusiast line is at the forefront of technical progress. The world's best overclockers use this platform to conquer new heights. Not everyone needs this kind of power, but if you know how to use it, AMD will be able to please you.
