Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has proven that foldable smartphones can withstand more than meets the eye. The smartphone, which has only recently entered the market, has been put through extreme conditions - from freezing in ice to being immersed in a river and dropped from a height of about 1.8 metres.

Here's What We Know

After 12 hours in the ice block, the device switched on without any problems, and both the external 6.5" and internal 8" displays worked perfectly. Immersion in a fast-flowing river with sand and dust for 30 minutes did not cause any damage, as did contact with various liquids - coffee, soda, tea and water of different temperatures.

Scratches couldn't leave a mark on the outer Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 glass, the inner Ultra-Thin Glass screen is better protected than previous generations, and the durable Armor FlexHinge hinge withstood even deliberate bending in the opposite direction.

A drop from a height of about 6 feet (1.8 metres) also did not disrupt the device's operation. All of this confirms that Galaxy Z Fold 7 is not only a flagship, but also a rugged smartphone that can withstand harsh conditions.
