Frostpunk 2 will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series in September: the authors are preparing two physical editions with interesting items
Polish studio 11 bit revealed the release date of Frostpunk 2 strategy game on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. Recall, on PC the game was released in autumn 2024 and received high marks from critics, but among gamers it has a mixed reputation due to some controversial mechanics.
Here's What We Know
The authors will not have time to release Frostpunk 2 on consoles in the summer of 2025, as previously stated, but they promise that on 18 September, users of PS5 and Xbox Series will be able to take control of the freezing colony and try to save the remnants of humanity from death.
It is known that the strategy will not be released on last-gen consoles and Nintendo Switch, but on Xbox it will be available immediately on Game Pass.
Console versions of Frostpunk 2 will be available in two physical editions: purchasers of The Icebreaker Edition will receive a diorama, artbook and novella, while the collector's Whiteout Edition will additionally include postcards, appliques, stickers, keychain and layered photo frame, as well as an upgrade to the Deluxe Edition with three upcoming expansions.
For convenient control with gamepads the authors have slightly changed the interface, prepared intuitive keyboard shortcuts and made other small improvements.
