Motorola has launched beta testing of Android 16 firmware for its smartphones, but this update will be the last for a number of models from the popular manufacturer.

Here's What We Know

Based on the current update policy of Motorola gadgets, we can expect that support for the following smartphones will end with the release of Android 16 and they will move into the category of irrelevant:

• Motorola Edge 40 Pro
• Motorola Edge (2024)
• Motorola ThinkPhone
• Motorola Razr 2023/Razr 40
• Motorola Razr+ 2023/Razr 40 Ultra
• Motorola Moto Pad 60 Pro
• Motorola Moto G85
• Motorola Moto G55
• Motorola Moto G35

As for the release date of the stable version of Android 16, Motorola has not announced it yet and likely won't until smartphones receive the update. It is expected that this could happen in September or October.
