Tesla has started selling LED strip for the front boot of the Model 3 and Model Y
Tesla has released the official tuning element for the front boot of the Model 3 and Model Y. The LED strip is already available in the US and Canada for $100 (or $130 CAD)
Here's What We Know
Tesla claims that installing the LED strip is as simple as possible and requires no special skills or additional equipment: it connects to the on-board power grid using the included adapter. The strip itself and the adapter are IP67 protected against dust and moisture. So rain won't be a problem, even if you leave the boot open.
The accessory is suitable for all Model 3 and Model Y 2020-2024 model years. Owners of newer cars should wait - Tesla is developing a separate version for Model 3 and Y 2025-2026 with updated wiring. Such a modification has already appeared in Tesla's Chinese online shop, so a North American launch is probably not far off.
