DualSense gamepad will soon be able to quickly switch between multiple devices
The DualSense gamepad has become a very popular controller, and you can easily connect it to an iPad, computer, or radio-controlled car. But if you have many compatible devices, you'll have to manually disconnect the DualSense from one device and connect it to another every time. Sony has decided to fix this and is already working on an update that will allow you to switch between multiple devices quickly and conveniently.
You can try out the new DualSense feature right now, but for now, you need to sign up for the beta testing programme and wait for confirmation from Sony. When Sony officially releases the update, this step will become unnecessary.
How to connect DualSense to multiple devices at the same time
- Switch the controller to Pairing Mode
- Hold down one of the four gamepad buttons (triangle, circle, square, or cross) for 5 seconds. This will activate one of the four connection slots.
- Switch on Bluetooth on the desired device and confirm the connection. If DualSense has successfully connected, it will signal with the light bar.
- Repeat the procedure for other devices with different action buttons
To dynamically switch DualSense between devices: hold down the PS button + the corresponding action button (~3 seconds). the light bar will indicate a successful connection.
When will this feature be available to everyone?
The release date of the update has not been announced. The mass release is expected to take place in the coming months.
