As part of its new strategy, Microsoft has confirmed that it is going to release on PlayStation 5 not only games that came out a few years ago, but also make some new titles from its studios available on Sony's consoles on their release day.
Portal mp1st shared information about two flagship Xbox Game Studios titles that will definitely be released on PS5.
Here's What We Know
In May, it became known that Gears of War: Reloaded (remaster of the first part), which will be released on 26 August, will be available not only on PC and Xbox Series, but also for the first time in the history of the series will appear on PlayStation. Thanks to information from the CV of one of the employees of The Coalition studio, it became known that a brand new game of the franchise - Gears of War: E-Day - will also be released on Sony consoles. Back in 2024, It looks like Microsoft will release the shooter Gears of War: E-Day on PlayStation 5 as well - The Coalition studio is looking for a specialist familiar with the PSN service who is familiar with the principle of the PlayStation Network service, which prompted gamers to think about a possible port to Sony's console. It is still unknown whether the release of Gears of War: E-Day will take place at the same time as the game's release on Xbox or it will happen later, but this news can't help but please PlayStation 5 users.
In a similar way, mp1st journalists have learnt that another major Xbox novelty, the long-awaited zombie action game State of Decay 3, is being prepared for release on PS5. A profile of a staff member at Undead Labs Studios indicates that the game will be available on the Japanese platform, but of course there's no further information either.
Both games are expected to be released in 2026.
