Meet FlexStrike, Sony's first dedicated controller for fighting games
Sony has revealed the name and details of its first dedicated controller for professional and semi-professional fighting games, which was unveiled in early June under the working title Project Defiant.
Here's What We Know
The Fightstick is called FlexStrike and connects wirelessly to both PlayStation 5 and PC, using the PlayStation Link programme.
In its design, the gadget is close to the controls of old arcade machines, which, in fact, and began the history of fighting games, but it is made in a modern style and is equipped with a touch panel, and also has buttons from the controller DualSense.
By the way, you can connect two FlexStrike to the same platform to be on equal footing with your fighting game partner.
Sony has included the ability to lock some buttons depending on the game to eliminate accidental presses.
When We Can Expect It
Sales of FlexStrike will start in 2026, and in the first days of August at the annual Evo tournament there will be a public demonstration of the novelty.
