Authoritative insider Evan Blass has shared renders and information about the Pixel 10 smartphones, which confirms that Google is planning to develop the concept of wireless chargers.

Here's What We Know

In June, it was reported online that Media : Google will launch a line of magnetic Pixelsnap devices for the flagship Pixel 10 smartphone series collectively called Pixelsnap. It was mentioned then that these devices would run on the new Qi2 standard, which is largely based on Apple's MagSafe technology.

One of the renders published by Evan Blass confirmed that the Pixel 10 series smartphones will get an inbuilt magnet that will allow for Qi2 wireless charging without any additional manipulation.

Expected to go on sale:

  • Pixelsnap Charger - this is expected to be Apple's MagSafe analogue for wireless charging;
  • Pixelsnap Charger with Stand - possibly a docking station, when placed in which the smartphone goes into standby mode and only shows the time on the off screen;
  • Pixelsnap Ring Stand - an upright stand for conveniently placing the smartphone on a table.

The chargers are likely to be unveiled on 20 August at the Made by Google presentation.
