Moto Edge 60 Pro gets a wood finish
On 3 August 2025, Motorola announced another variant of the Edge 60 Pro with a back cover made of natural wood. The fourth design variant is called Basswood Walnut and is available exclusively for the 12GB RAM and 512GB flash storage variant in the Chinese market. All the technical specifications are the same, but the appearance now looks more like an art object. There's no official word yet on whether this design will be available on the global market, but the chances are high.

Experiments with body materials are not new for Motorola, and even this Edge 60 Pro in Dazzling Blue uses nylon on the back, while the Sparkling Grape and Shadow variants are made using faux leather. The company uses wood less often because of the obviously more complex technology. However, the Moto X and Razr 60 Ultra models in wood have gained well-deserved popularity among users, so Motorola continues to expand the range of phones with this finish from time to time, as well as improve the wood processing technology itself.
