Honor has unveiled a new smartphone Honor Play 70 Plus - a mid-range device with high performance, decent battery life and a great price.

Here's What We Know

Honor Play 70 Plus has a 6.77″ LCD display with HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

The Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor, made using 6nm process technology, with a maximum clock speed of up to 2.3GHz is responsible for the performance.

The smartphone is available in variants with 8 or 12 GB of RAM and with storage for 256 or 512 GB.

The novelty comes with the proprietary MagicOS 9.0 shell based on Android 15.

One of the key advantages of the Honor Play 70 Plus is the 7000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. There is also a reverse charging feature that allows you to use the smartphone as an external battery for other devices.

The main camera of the Play 70 Plus gets a 50MP sensor with artificial intelligence support, including object removal and automatic image correction features. The front camera is 5MP. The smartphone has stereo speakers with increased volume, supports NFC and has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Honor Play 70 Plus has received IP65 dust and moisture protection, as well as drop resistance certification. Additionally, there is a dedicated AI button that can be used to quickly launch useful functions - like clearing memory or adjusting screen brightness.

The smartphone will be available in four colours: blue, black, pink and white. Configurations include 8/256GB, 12/256GB and 12/512GB versions.

Sales of the Honor Play 70 Plus will start in China on 8 August with prices starting at $165 (converted from RMB). It is expected that the model may enter the international market under a different name as well.
