Rogbid has unveiled the Rogbid M2 smartwatch, which is aimed at active lifestyle and extreme sports enthusiasts. The company claims that this is the world's first watch with a one-piece case made of tungsten steel.

Here's What We Know

The watch has a 1.6″ AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels and a peak brightness of 1500 nits. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and the case is made of tungsten with a triple-layer coating, making it much stronger than stainless steel. The device can withstand immersion in water up to 30 metres deep (3 ATM standard) and weighs just 90 grams.

For navigation, the Rogbid M2 supports dual-band GNSS and GPS, GALILEO, NAVIC, QZSS and BDS satellite systems, allowing the watch to be used for autonomous navigation even without a smartphone connection. Built-in routing algorithms ensure accurate path planning.

The model has over a hundred sport modes, as well as sensors for monitoring heart rate, blood oxygen levels, sleep, fatigue and mood. Additionally, there is a compass, gyroscope, barometer, accelerometer and geomagnetic sensors.

Inside, there is an 810mAh battery that provides up to 100 days of standby time. There is also 4GB of inbuilt memory and Bluetooth 5.3 module for wireless connectivity. The watch is compatible with Android 5.0 and iOS 11.0 and above.

The Rogbid M2 is currently available through crowdfunding on Kickstarter. Backers can purchase the device starting at $149, while the retail price will be around $199.
