Mafia: The Old Country won't bore gamers - the developers promise ten hours of exciting storytelling
There are only a few days left before the release of the crime action game Mafia: The Old Country.
Hangar 13 studio representatives repeatedly emphasised that they took into account gamers' dissatisfaction with Mafia III concept with its large open world and a huge amount of uninteresting activities, because of which the game felt dragged out and boring, so in The Old Country players will see a linear structure with an emphasis on the main plot, and it affected the game's duration.
Here's What We Know
Czech edition Vortex published an interview with the developers, from which it became known that Mafia: The Old Country will definitely please those gamers who don't like long games. The duration of the new part is comparable to Mafia: Definitive Edition: the main story will take about 10.5 hours, and another three hours will be needed to complete the side activities.
We're not talking about a specific number of chapters or minutes of cut-scenes, but the game is very, very similar to Mafia: Definitive Edition. We saw how much fans loved that game, and we loved creating exactly that kind of game - a linear story, a crime drama where you play as the protagonist of a classic mafia film. So we want to do it again, but this time in Sicily, with brand new characters and familiar gameplay.
The short timeline of Mafia: The Old Country has also affected the price of the game. While the top new releases cost $70-80, the dramatic action game set in early 20th century Sicily costs only $50.
