Microsoft has revealed a selection of new products for the Xbox Game Pass service for the first half of August.

Here's What We Know

The company will offer subscribers eight games, of which one is already available - action-platformer with elements of horror Rain World.

But perhaps the most interesting addition to the service will be Assassin's Creed Mirage - an action game, the events of which unfold in Baghdad IX century, when the city was the centre of culture and science of the Middle East.

Xbox Game Pass novelties:

• Rain World (Xbox and PC) - already available on PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate and Standard;
• Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Xbox Series) - available on Game Pass Standard on 6 August;
• Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Xbox Series) - available on Game Pass Standard on 6 August;
• MechWarrior 5: Clans (Xbox Series) - 6 August on Game Pass Standard;
• Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Xbox Series) - 6 August on Game Pass Standard;
• Assassin's Creed Mirage (Xbox and PC) - 7 August on PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate;
• Aliens: Fireteam Elite (Xbox and PC) - 12 August on PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate and Standard;
• 9 Kings (PC in Game Preview mode) - 14 August on PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate.

Leaving the catalogue on August 15:

• Anthem (Xbox and PC) EA Play;
• Farming Simulator 22 (Xbox and PC);
• Persona 3 Reload (Xbox and PC).
