The Gears of War: Reloaded preload is available now for PC and Xbox Series users

Microsoft and The Coalition studio launched Gears of War: Reloaded preload - remaster of the famous 2006 shooter.

Here's What We Know

PC and Xbox Series users can already install Gears of War: Reloaded to start playing the game at the moment of its release, which will take place on the 26th of August.

This option can be used by those who pre-ordered Reloaded or those who had Gears of War Ultimate Edition in their library before the announcement of the remaster, as well as Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.

On PC, the game will take up 70GB, while the Xbox Series requires 68.7GB of free SSD space. It's not yet known if the game will be downloadable on PS5.

The updated game claims the following improvements:

  • 4K resolution;
  • 60 FPS in the story campaign;
  • 120 FPS in multiplayer mode;
  • support for HDR, Dolby Vision and 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos and 3D sound;
  • VRR technology support;
  • 4K assets and enhanced textures;
  • enhanced visual effects, shadows and reflections;
  • super resolution with improved anti-aliasing;
  • no loading screens during the story campaign;
  • cross-play and cross-progression on all platforms.
