Insiders have mentioned several times that Apple plans to release a new MacBook Pro model in 2026, the main feature of which will be an OLED-display.

New data from Bloomberg confirm the corporation's plans, but make significant clarifications.

Here's What We Know

In a new issue of the weekly news digest Power On, authoritative insider and journalist Mark Gurman reported that the MacBook Pro OLED will indeed be released, but not in 2026, and in 2027 (maybe at the very end of 2026).

Gurman specifies that Apple will still release the MacBook Pro in 2026, but it will not have significant changes in design and will receive the M5 chip, while the OLED model will be equipped with the latest M6.

Recall that the only supplier of OLED panels for the new MacBook Pro model will be Samsung Display, which will get an exclusive contract.
