Auto for collectors: 60s Batmobile replica put up for sale
Online auction site Catawiki has put up for sale an unusual lot - a replica of the Batmobile used by actor Adam West as a set at events. This car is based on the original car from the iconic 1966 Batman television series.

"Batmobile" got similar attributes to the original - leather interior and futuristic exterior. It is also interesting that this is one of the few replicas created in Europe.
The replica is based on a 1973 Lincoln Continental. Over the decades, this car has been to numerous events around the world, often in the company of Adam West himself, who performed the role of Batman. The car is now located in Italy near Florence.
The car is valued at around 80,000 euros, although at the time of this news the maximum bid is 15,000 euros. It is running and has recently been serviced. Under the bonnet is the original 7.5-litre V8 paired to a 3-speed automatic. The bodywork underneath is in good condition with only minor signs of surface corrosion, the interior is well preserved.
"Batmobile" is sold with British registration documents, confirming its interesting history.
