Results of the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 processor in the Geekbench 6 test have appeared
In the Geekbench 6.4 benchmark, a smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor (probably Galaxy S26 Edge, model SM-S947U) scored 3,393 points in the single-core test and 11,515 points in the multi-core test. This is about 9-10% higher than the results of the Galaxy S25 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Elite. The platform on which the processor ran includes 12 GB of RAM and Android 16.
Technical data of the chip (according to leaks):
Configuration: 2 powerful cores of the Oryon architecture, capable of operating at up to 4.74 GHz, and 6 energy-efficient cores with a frequency of up to 3.63 GHz. The processor supports the new Scalable Matrix Extensions instructions, which are used to calculate artificial intelligence operations. The Adreno 840 GPU is responsible for accelerating graphics. The chip is based on TSMC 3 nm N3P technology
Conclusion.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is a more powerful and technologically advanced chip for 2026 smartphones. Early Geekbench results already show a significant performance boost, but it should be borne in mind that manufacturers (Qualcomm, Samsung, and Google) will still be making optimisations before the official announcement. The flagship processor itself will be announced at a planned Qualcomm event on 23 September 2025.
