Samsung is continuing to test its new One UI 8 shell on Galaxy smartphones, and the latest Beta 4 update has brought an unexpected visual effect that has already become a hot topic. Users have noticed that when taking pictures of the moon using a zoom of more than 30×, the image takes on a bright purple hue.

This effect appears in the Beta 4 version and is likely related to the testing of new image processing algorithms or camera optimisation. On the official Samsung forum, users joke that they have received an "exclusive space filter", while others suspect that this is a side effect of experiments with colour correction in night mode.

Despite the curiosity, the beta testing programme is going ahead as planned. Samsung has already confirmed that the Galaxy S25 series will receive stable One UI 8 in September 2025. Currently, the beta is only available for a limited number of users, but it will soon be extended to Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and other flagships. New smartphones, such as the Galaxy Fold 7 and Flip 7, already come with One UI 8 out of the box.

It is possible that the developers will fix the bug before the final release. But for beta testers, this is still one of the most notable and discussed features of the new version.
