935 kilometres on a single charge on public roads: Polestar 3 sets a Guinness World Record
On 13 August 2025, Polestar announced a new achievement: the Polestar 3 electric crossover entered the Guinness Book of World Records by driving 935.44 km (581.3 miles) on a single charge. The record was set by the recently released Long range Single motor version.
Here's What We Know
The race took 22 hours and 57 minutes. The route took place in variable weather conditions, including rain. Average consumption was 12.1 kWh per 100 kilometres (19.5 kWh per 100 miles). Professional pilots Sam Clarke, Kevin Booker and Richard Parker took turns at the wheel every three hours to stay focused. The car managed to cover the WLTP claimed 706 kilometres (438 miles) with another 20 per cent charge, and added 12.8 kilometres (8 miles) after the display showed '0 per cent'. But it still made it to a charge near the end before coming to a complete stop.
The car was completely production, with no modifications, with 20-inch wheels and regular Michelin Sport 4 EV tyres. The record was recorded by Guinness World Records judge Paulina Sapinska. Webfleet provided video, odometer, GPS and charge level data. The race was supported by the AA British Car Club.

Head of Polestar UK Matt Galvin said that the drivers have squeezed the most out of the Polestar 3. He also added that this achievement demonstrates how much the range of electric cars has grown in recent years. For a large premium SUV to cover a distance much longer than the journey from London to Edinburgh is an impressive result.
