Another game will soon stop running on last generation consoles. This time the turn came to the network shooter PUBG: Battlegrounds, which became the founder and populariser of the Battle royal genre.

Here's What We Know

The authors of PUBG reported that on the 13th of November the game's servers will be shut down for maintenance, after which PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users will no longer be able to install and run it.

Their progress, achievements and purchases will be saved in the database so that players can continue their battles in PUBG, but already on PS5 or Xbox Series. Thus, the authors want to accelerate the development of the shooter on modern platforms, so that it can meet the most current trends.

The freed resources will help to improve the stability of connection to the servers and the overall performance of PUBG. Some improvements to the game's graphics are also announced.

On Xbox Series, the current version of PUBG: Battlegrounds will be available via Smart Delivery, while on PS5 it must be installed via the PS Store.

Nothing changes for PC gamers.
