Xiaomi has unveiled a new smart surveillance camera - Mi Smart Camera 4 Zoom. The device is focused on indoor use and offers advanced features at an affordable price.

The camera features a dual system: an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 5MP telephoto lens. It supports 3x optical zoom and 9x hybrid zoom, and is also capable of recording videos in 4K resolution. Thanks to the f/1.6 aperture and 10 infrared LEDs (940nm), the camera delivers quality footage even in low-light conditions.
Mi Smart Camera 4 Zoom has a number of smart features: silhouette and pose recognition of people, auto zoom when moving, pet tracking, baby crying detection and the ability to make video calls using the OK gesture.
There is a physical lens curtain to protect privacy, as well as a secure MJA1 chip with EAL5+ certification. The camera supports local data processing and encryption.
The device is compatible with Mi Home app and HyperOS system, supports Wi-Fi 6 and H.265 codec. Data storage is possible on a microSD card up to 256GB, in the cloud or on a NAS server.
At the crowdfunding stage, the camera is offered at a price of about $55 (in terms of yuan), and it will retail for $65.
The novelty is made in a cute design and resembles a desktop robot assistant, it will not only perform its functions perfectly, but also organically fit into almost any interior.
