The new Ghost of Yōtei trailer showed the effectiveness of the Yari long spear
Sony and Sucker Punch studio presented another trailer of Ghost of Yōtei action game.
Here's What We Know
The previous trailer was devoted to the main character Atsu's skills in mastering kusarigama - a traditional Japanese weapon, which is a sickle with a weight on a chain.
Now the authors showed a fight with the use of yari (Yari) - a long spear with a steel tip. With its help, the girl can not only make deadly stabbing blows, but also, leaning on the yari, make a horizontal jump, knocking enemies off their feet, and the strong shaft of the spear will block even sword blows.
The gameplay of Ghost of Yōtei looks dynamic and brutal, showing great progress compared to Ghost of Tsushima.
The new game from Sucker Punch will feature an extensive arsenal of weapons, and while the protagonist of Ghost of Tsushima was armed only with a katana and a tanto dagger, Atsu, in addition to kusarigama and yari, has access to a katana, odachi (long sword) and paired blades.
When We Can Expect It
Ghost of Yōtei will be released on 2 October 2025 exclusively on PlayStation 5.
