Huawei Pad Air - a tablet with eye protection technology announced
Huawei is developing unique technologies that you will not see anywhere else. The company has officially unveiled the MatePad Air 2025, and it's not all about gigahertz and gigabytes. The MatePad Air has a modern 12-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate, in which the company has implemented technologies designed to reduce eye strain.
The company is said to have developed a unique nano-etch technology that reduces direct radiation by 50%, while Cloud Clear Soft Light technology increases diffuse light reflection. According to the company, this reduces the amount of direct point light entering the eyes, but increases the area flooded with light, so the image is less harsh but does not lose brightness and saturation. The company calls it PaperMatte display - a screen like matte paper, that is. It's hard to assess from the advertising descriptions how well this technology really works, but it sounds tempting. And it's nice when a company develops new technologies.
As for the rest of the tablet's features, the advanced sound system, which includes 6 speakers and a system of resonators, is noteworthy. It is also interesting that Huawei is developing its own AI. Celia AI includes Circle Celia (analogous to Circle-to-Search), Table Extraction (recognising data in images and entering it into Excel), dynamic translation of documents in a split window, on-the-fly manuscript recognition, including formulas, etc.
