Wargaming announced World of Tanks 2.0 - the biggest update with level 11 tanks, redesigned interface and a new map
Wargaming has unveiled World of Tanks 2.0 - the biggest update in the history of the popular online game. It includes many changes that will significantly transform the game.
Here's What We Know
The main innovation of update 2.0 will be the appearance of XI level tanks. In World of Tanks will add 16 new machines with unique game mechanics and individual progression system, and in the future there will be even more.
The developers will conduct a large-scale rebalance of more than 350 tanks of all levels to improve the game roles and provide a more fair gameplay. The garage will be completely redesigned and will represent a tank factory, where vehicles are assembled and prepared for battle. The game's interface will be simpler, more user-friendly and more informative.
Matchmaking will be redesigned from scratch: it will provide faster queues, balanced teams and dynamic battles. A new Nordskar map will be added to the game - a Scandinavian location that players have been asking for a long time.
There will also be a PvE mode "Operation Boiling Point", which offers a story mission involving level XI tanks on a new map. This mode, as well as the Nordskar map, is created by the Ukrainian division of Wargaming Kyiv.
The update includes improved sound effects recorded from real tanks, creating a fully immersive experience.
The update will be released on 3 September 2025 and will be the beginning of a new era of World of Tanks.
