It's official: STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be released on PlayStation 5 on 20 November

During gamescom 2025, the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World revealed the release date of the shooter S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl on PlayStation 5.

Here's What We Know

The developers reported that the acclaimed game, which is a console exclusive Xbox will be released on PlayStation 5 on 20 November - exactly one year after the original release.

The trailer emphasises that the game supports all the features of the Japanese console and its controller, gyroscope, adaptive triggers, touchpad and other features will be involved, and on PS5 Pro the game will run in higher resolution and with improved performance.

The PlayStation Store is already available for pre-order for three editions of S.T.A.L.L.K.E.R. 2: Standard, Expanded with additional quest and gear, and Ultimate, which includes a season pass with all future DLC.

The following bonuses are offered to players for pre-ordering any edition:

  • A unique "Veteran" weapon
  • "Tourist" armour set;
  • additional dialogue and music in the camp;
  • exclusive patch on the backpack.

Most likely, GSC Game World will coincide with the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 on PlayStation 5 with the release of another major update for all platforms.
