Frostpunk 2 is gearing up for console release: gameplay trailer of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series version unveiled
Polish studio 11 bit reminded about the soon console release of the popular post-apocalyptic strategy game Frostpunk 2, which was released on PC in autumn 2024 and Superior strategy from 11 bit: critics are thrilled with Frostpunk 2 and recommend the game to all fans of the genre.
Here's What We Know
The developers have released a trailer that shows gameplay of Frostpunk 2 on PS5 and Xbox Series.
For maximum comfort of gamers 11 bit slightly changed the interface, adapting it for gamepads and large TV screens, added some circular menus and changed the location of some icons.
The trailer also reminds that in Frostpunk 2 the player controls not a single city, but the life of the entire freezing colony, which is in desperate need of resources to save the remnants of humanity from death, after the onset of the ice age. Gamers also need to keep an eye on public opinion and balance the demands of different political groups so they don't stage a coup.
As a reminder, the console versions of Frostpunk 2 will be available in two physical editions: buyers of The Icebreaker Edition will receive a diorama, artbook and novelisation, while the collector's Whiteout Edition will additionally include postcards, appliques, stickers, keychain and layered photo frame, as well as an upgrade to the Deluxe Edition with three upcoming expansions.
When We Can Expect It
Frostpunk 2 will release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on 18 September 2025 and it will be available immediately on Game Pass.
