Here's What We Know

GamesRadar journalists talked to Randy Pitchford at gamescom 2025 and asked him if his opinion about the real cost of the game has changed.

And it has changed! Pitchford said that Borderlands 4 would have justified the $200 price tag. At the same time, the game designer noted that in an ideal world he wouldn't mind if the game was distributed for free so that everyone could get acquainted with it. But big business doesn't allow such generosity.

Well, gamers will find out what Borderlands 4 is really worth on the 12th of September - the game will be released on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series on that day, and on the 3rd of October it will be released on Nintendo Switch 2.
