Resident Evil Requiem is a triumphant winner of the gamescom award 2025 - the game won in four categories

The gamescom 2025 exhibition is coming to an end.

Gamers have seen (and will still see during the two remaining days) a huge number of interesting announcements and shows. But the organisers of the show traditionally summarise the results of the shows a bit earlier and have already held the annual gamescom award 2025 ceremony.

Here's What We Know

Gamescom award 2025 honours the most outstanding games and companies in 18 categories. Moreover, the attention was given to the newly presented games as well as to the already released ones.

Perhaps it will surprise few people that the triumphant winner of the event was the long-awaited Resident Evil Requiem - the ninth numbered part of the cult series won in four categories, including Best PlayStation Game and Best Sound Design.

TheHeart of GamingAward recognises outstanding achievements at gamescom. This year the prize went to Artist Alleys, small areas where artists showcased their original work.

The Best Trailer/Announcement award went to the highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong - it was announced at the show that the long-awaited game will be released on the 4th of September.

The Best Lineup award is given to the exhibitor with the most impressive portfolio at the show according to the jury, and this year it was Capcom.

The Best Booth category evaluates the concepts, design and creativity of the exhibitors presenting their products, and this time, according to the jury, Ubisoft stood out. Pokemon had the Best Stand according to the gaming community.

Thebest merchandise according to the visitors of the exhibition was a vending machine with goods for Star Birds fans.
