For seventeen Oppo models, Android 16 will be the last major update (list)
Oppo is preparing for the release of ColorOS 16 firmware based on Android 16 and is already beta testing it.
Earlier journalists of the portal Gizmochina published a list of gadgets that will definitely receive ColorOS 16, and now they reported for which smartphones it will be the latest update.
Here's What We Know
ColorOS 16 will be available not only on the flagship Find N and Find X series smartphones, but also on mid-range gadgets.
Based on Oppo's update policy and the specifications of its smartphones, Gizmochina reports that the manufacturer will stop updating the following gadgets after the release of Android 16:
- Oppo Reno 12 F;
- Oppo Reno 12 F 4G;
- Oppo Reno 11 F;
- Oppo A5;
- Oppo A5 4G;
- Oppo A5 Pro;
- Oppo A5 Pro 4G;
- Oppo A5x;
- Oppo A5x 4G;
- Oppo A5 Energy;
- Oppo F27;
- Oppo F27 Pro+;
- Oppo F25 Pro;
- Oppo K12;
- Oppo K12x;
- Oppo K12 Plus;
- Oppo Pad 3 Pro.
The smartphones will function normally and receive security patches for a few more years, but they will no longer have new features.
A stable version of ColorOS 16 is expected to be released by the end of 2025.
