OPPO Find and Reno series smartphones have started receiving ColorOS 15 - a list of the update's main features

OPPO has started a phased release of the August ColorOS 15 update, which will affect the popular Find and Reno series models. The update is rolling out until 31 August and is available on the following models: Find N5, N3, N3 Flip, X8, X8 Pro, and Reno 14, 13, 12 and 11 - including the Pro versions.

Key ColorOS 15 innovations

• BeaconLink - a new feature that lets you share messages, images and voice recordings with nearby users without an internet connection;
• Split View - improved split screen mode: now you can freely customise window sizes without fixed proportions;
• animations when opening, moving and resizing windows are smoother;
• notifications in landscape orientation are now displayed as compact banners. Swiping down opens the app in a floating window, and tapping down also opens the app in a window, without going to full screen.

The inbuilt Private Safe security feature will give you more control over your personal files:

• the ability to share images and videos;
• customise album art;
• sort media by time;
• adding files to the "Others" category;
• Removed the limit on the number of documents - now you can store an unlimited number of documents.

The update is rolling out in waves, so the timing of the update may vary by model and region.
