Indie studio Lovely Hellplace announced Entropy - a gloomy RPG in retro style with turn-based battles.

Here's What We Know

Stylistically, Entropy is reminiscent of PS1 era games from the mid-90s.

The story centres on an actor with a fake sword, who finds himself in the city of Draenog and has to fight off an invasion of demons.

After exploring the starting location, the player will go to a spacious open world filled with quests and additional activities.

The developers state that in Entropy you will have to manage a squad of six characters, who will engage in complex and challenging turn-based battles. They are made with a look back to the best classic JRPGs, which means we should expect high complexity and variation of actions.

Interestingly, in battle all characters, except for the protagonist, die forever, hence the player needs to replenish the squad with mercenaries.

Of course, fans of modern graphics are unlikely to be interested in Entropy, but fans of retro games should take a closer look at it.

When We Can Expect It

Entropy is expected to be released in 2026 on PC.
